Apologies for the delay in getting this sent, but I’ve been busier than Ryan Roppel stalking action heroes at Comic-Con.

Without further ado (or Freddy Adu), attached are the results from last night’s swim meet.

Some general thoughts from your stressed-out President:

• The kids did a tremendous job last night. This is getting to be a broken record, but their performances so far this year have been terrific
• Thank you all for remaining patient during the rain delay and issue we had with the timing/scoring system during the freestyle. I know that wasn’t easy and I appreciate your understanding
• While there are many people that played an integral part in making the meet a success, a huge shout out to Matt Rohrs for coming to the rescue. This is not meant to slight anyone else (as many played a huge part in getting us back up & running), but Matt was calmer than an ER surgeon in a chaotic situation
• Please remember that no glass is allowed on the pool deck at any point. Some was broken yesterday evening and we just need to be vigilant not to break that rule. If you see someone with glass, please ask them to put it in a plastic cup
• We had a great turnout at Beef O’Brady’s last night. I’m glad that we are back on schedule with that. Please remember that they are staying open an extra hour just for us, so please remember to tip the wait staff well
• We have a quick turnaround with a meet this Thursday at Woods of St Thomas. As the coaches have asked, please make meet declarations as soon as possible
• I’m sure I’ll be in contact with you more in the time leading up to Thursday’s meet, but if you have any questions, please ask. Like 20/20 used to close with, “we’re in touch….so you be in touch.”
