Swimmingly numbers and reading heat sheets
Hi Everyone,
Something new this year for our meets is that each swimmer has a unique number that must be written on their upper arm. You can see your child/children’s numbers on the heat sheet. Age group parents, please be sure to write each child’s number in them as that is part of the Swimmingly timing system now
Also, I spoke with a few people over the weekend who are new swimming families. They were asking questions about their kids events and heat sheets. I wrote up an example (see below) of what will be written on your child tomorrow for the events. This would be what I would expect for my son Max who is a 7-8 boy.
E=event
H= heat
L= lane
S= stroke - the number in parenthesis (which I forgot on the first one) is their place in the relay
