Good Afternoon Owl Creek Swimmers and Parents,

During a Zoom Meeting earlier this week, the Louisville Swim Association (LSA) decided to suspend all operations for swimming and diving for the 2020 summer season. This means that there will not be sanctioned divisions (Division 1, Division 2, Division 3 or Division 4), qualifications or championships this summer.

What does this mean for Owl Creek?

This does NOT mean that the Owl Creek summer 2020 swim season is cancelled at this point. LSA left it open to each individual swim team whether or not they wanted to continue to wait on the government to loosen restrictions. Owl Creek is continuing to do so. I am still hopeful that we will still able to have some sort of a season via virtual meets.

Additionally, LSA passed a vote that any swimmer who is a graduating senior and participated on the team at any time before 2020 will be granted an extra year to swim in summer 2021.
